Greetings,
The new term is here and despite my previous mentions of challenges encountered in the preparation of the Discipleship class 'Assurance of Faith' by Joel Beeke the listening and prepping for the last three lessons has increased my confidence. Thank you for your prayers!
However, the most important step in bearing fruit lies ahead and that is the actual bearing of fruit for His glory. In my final prepping God has put in my heart the importance of the hearts and minds of the students receiving the truth within the weekly lectures.
There will be men who have true salvation but will need assurance of their faith just as we all will face at times and even more so for them where the presence of the evil one's demons is very strong. I ask for your prayer that the overall teaching series begins to bear fruit in these men from the start and throughout the course.
There is also going to be those who attend thinking they are saved but are not. Lecture 11 addresses this truth but I ask for your prayers that the Holy Spirit convicts this with false salvation to true saving faith.
Though my heart has been focused on the Discipleship classes please prayer for the Malachi Dad classes that God will work in the hearts of the fathers in their Christian growth and the leading to those unsaved fathers to Christ.
It is my weekly request yo keep the Chaplain Thomas at Dixon and Chaplain McClimans at Sheridan in your prayer.
I can not end without prayers for my son Cameron. As I write this he is in a hospital after several days of drinking and drugging. Please pray for his salvation but also that the hospital that he in retains him and that he gets long term physiological help he desperately needs to be freed from the evil one's snare by bringing Christians into his life (2 Timothy 2:26)
To Him be the glory!
