Greetings,
An uneventful week until an e-mail Friday of the death of Carlos at the age of 20. He was killed in a shooting related to gang violence. His killing was in retaliation of his beating up another gang member. An ugly reminder of the culture may of SOCPM students return to.
I've had several former students die for one reason or another but this one is hard, but it only reinforces to me the need for prison ministry.

Miguel - I've been having these really bad pains in my mouth ever since I got some fillings put in. Can you please pray to the heavenly Father and ask Him if He can please take this pain away. I know that this is not all that important ?? ???? but I am in serious pain and I don't know what else to do. We pray for me please and thank you. Sincerely.

Brandon - Pray for my family and me and my journey with God. Pray for my two beautiful daughters and their mother that they are safe and protected from Satan and his demons. Pray for Brandon in his walk with God. Keeping him in spiritual communication and meditation with this high power. Help him to read more of the Bible and God helping him understand his gifts that God the Father gave him. Ask you to pray for Brother Hollingsworth. A true believer in Christ, who fell to the temptations of the devil. Pray for him to get back on his spiritual walk with God. Pray for my cellie Morris who leaves next Friday 14th. That he leaves with God's blessings and embraces and does the right thing by not coming back to jail and changing his thoughts and actions. Pray for this world with all the violence, adultery, rapes, etc. Terrorism and war against countries and children getting killed all around the world. Pray for peace and humbleness around the world. I ask you to pray for Sheridan Correctional Center and all the inmates and employees and their families.
Julio - Please send out a special prayer for the forgiveness of my sins. I pray for you as well. I would like for you to pray for our world leaders, that they lead us not into more world war but peace for the homeless, people dying from starvation, as well. Thank you. God bless, (amen) Allelujah.
David - I would like to pray for the strength to forgive myself for my past actions in the ability to happily accept the blessings that God has put in my life.

Please pray for my kids and my wife that God the Father walk with them and they be safe. Please pray that I understand the Bible better. Pray for my family, mother and father.
