Greetings,
To say this has been one of the most challenging terms when it comes to dealing with class cancellations is an understatement.
A case of diverticulitis and my history of past abdominal pains led me to cancel Wednesday at Dixon. Thankfully the pains subsided and immediate medical care didn't become necessary.
Then come Friday at Sheridan around 11 AM while I was conducting Malachi Dads I was informed that repairs to the ceiling in both the chapel and conference room would begin at 11:30 and I would need to cancel my classes. Some workers showed up but no work was ever performed.
I hung around and in hopes the 5 PM class would not be canceled it wasn't. However, to avoid the two classes being on different schedules, I decided to forgo the scheduled curriculum and did a teaching on 2 Timothy, that was well received.
Sadly, next Friday's classes are cancelled in order for me to take Michelle to a doctor's appointment in downtown Chicago.
There are times obstacles, like cancellations, make me feel SOCPM is spiraling downwards but it is in those times I am reminded that some guy named Paul didn't exactly have a carefree ministry.

He is getting older (I believe he is 66 years old now) and he is a diabetic. Toby - Please pray that God will work providentially through the Children, Youth and Family Solutions Agency as well as through the judicial system in relation to my son Toby Junior. Specifically, please pray that communication between myself and those institutions will be concise, clear and beneficial. Also, that a line of communication will be opened between Toby Junior's temporary caregivers and myself. Additionally, the communication between Toby's mother and myself will be more frequent.
