STUDENT PRAYER REQUESTS December 14, 2019

Greetings,

Big praise! After seeing her doctor Friday, my mom was told she would have the feeding tube removed and return to her home at Prestige on Monday! Just writing these words brings me to tears on how loving and merciful God is in answering our prayers despite us being sinners. It was also humbly when I shared the news with my Discipleship evening students, and they praised God with applause. Glory be to God!

In the Discipleship classes at Dixon and Sheridan, we completed the curriculum ‘The Basics of Christian Life’ with teaching on ‘Persevering to the End.’ We had an excellent discussion in all three Discipleship classes discussing the trials of being incarcerated. Several mentions were made that though their incarceration is one of the most significant trials in their lives, God's glory is reflected in maturing them in their faith. James 1:2-4 and 1 Peter 1:6-7 were some of the scriptures shared.

In Dixon’s Malachi Dads class on Wednesday, we completed ‘The Heart of a Man’ A lesson on “Developing a Non-Threatened Heart” Next week, we will have a bonus program on ‘Love and Marriage Part1’ with Voddie Baucham. Registration has begun for the next session. Please pray for an abundance of new students.

In the two Sheridan Malachi Dad classes, having completed ‘Family Restoration,’ the students watched Voddie Baucham's ‘Love and Marriage Part 1.' Though targeted for unmarried or the younger students in early stages of marriage, one student, Robert, who is 56 and single, but hopes to marry again, stated, ‘I learned a lot from this.’ Next week the students will see part 2 of ‘Love and Marriage.’ The student enjoyed it so much they asked if it would be possible to watch parts 3 & 4 in the next session of Malachi Dads.

There are no definite updates on my son. I talked to him briefly last week, but he was on his way to a job interview and has found a sober living home. Pray for his salvation and that God will bring Christians into his life to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Please pray for the chaplains (Robert @ Dixon, Leon @ Sheridan) as they counsel inmates during the Christmas season and endure the other challenges before them.

As always, thank you for your prayer support.

To Him be the glory!
