The men in Dixon enjoyed Lecture 2 of 'The Assurance of Salvation' on Wednesday. It was a big encouragement. However, a sad note in Dixon. Randy's father died on Monday of this week. Please be sure to keep him in your prayers.
Due to a lock down in unit 26 at Sheridan, which houses a significant percentage of SOCPM students, resulted in a small turn out, but one joyous event was passing on to Toby via the Chaplain's office a new Bible.
Recently SOCPM ministry partner blessed SOCPM with eight copies of a 'Genuine black leather Reformation Study Bible (ESV). The Bible sells for $75. As such, SOCPM is very discerning who should receive a Bible. Toby is a relatively new SOCPM student (12/16/16). But almost every week he has been submitting requests for various doctrinal positions. His hunger for the deep truths of God's Word made my decision to give him one of eight relatively easy. I also gave the chaplain a Bible for Jerry (he's in unit 26, so he did not get word a Bible awaits him in the chaplain's office).
These Bibles are abundant in the studying of God's Word. In prison ministry, I just don't just pass these Bibles on to the first students to ask (Toby never asked, imagine his joy upon receiving it). Please, pray for God to give me discernment in the distribution of the remaining six Bibles into the hands of men who will use them for God's Kingdom work (2 Timothy 2:2, 3:16-17).

Bruce - Good morning Father God, our Lord, and Savior. Another gifted day you has allowed us. We praise each one of them, with the promise to work very hard in your ways of becoming better men of teachable learning wisdom of your words. Today I pray for understanding how to be a man of righteousness, obedience, brotherly love, compassion, honesty, amongst everyone. I am a sinner, no worthy of your love but you freely gives it. I believe that you sent your one and only Son Jesus here on earth to die for my sins and he died and rose again on the 3rd day and now sits on the right hand with You. Thank you for today. Amen.

Paul - Blessed to have heard my granddaughter play 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' on her violin over the phone. Please keep my granddaughter Kiaana and me in your prayers. She wants her grandpa back for her birthday in August. I have a big court date 2/16/17 that can make this happen. Please send Holy Spirit to put Mercy in the heart of Judge and State's Attorney. So, I can be home with my family. I've been locked up for two years.

No name - I pray that me and my son to get a better line of communication. I pray that my visits get approved. I pray for strength, guidance to stay in my Bible. I pray that I understood when I talk. I pray that I get some good time. I pray that I get into and finish school.
James - Pray for my dear friend Melissa: whose cancer has come back and has broken her down, not wanting to treat it and she's back abusing medication heavy drinking along with giving up on her kids. Please pray our Father can reach out and help her find Him and save her life. Give her the strength and courage to fight and get to a rehab and regain her fate.She lost her mom to alcoholism and brother to cancer already. I met her in rehab in 2016 and she was amazing and glowing. Please pray that the Lord will bring her back. Thank you so much. Please pray God renews her hope and strength.
Andre - Jesus Christ my Savior, please watch over my kids, grandkids, parents, and friends. Keep them all safe. Thank you also for giving me all my needs, I know it's all You. I thank you for been a forgiving God. I've surrendered my heart and soul to you (Jesus).
Toby - Pray that the Muslim attendee of class will come to know Christ. Pray that God will invade the heart of my fiancé causing her to make Him her main priority which in turn will caused her to treat her family as her second priority.(Myself and our eight month old son). Lamont - Can you please say a prayer for my family. That we may continue to keep good health and also for my wife and daughter because this has been tough for them with me being away and they are making it the best they can. Some days are not as good as others. Thank you and God bless.
Miguel - Please pray for my friend Noel. He is going through some tough struggles right now. Please ask God to give him the strength and courage that Noel needs so that he doesn't lose his composure and that he can give his struggles over to God. Please and thank you.
