It was a true joy to return to the classroom, much like the days of school and returning from summer vacation.
A lot of new faces especially in the Renewing Fatherhood classes. One face was not new, Derrick is taking the class for the forth time.
Sadly some things do not change. It appears passes for Dixon's classes passes were not all distributed properly. Several returning and registered students in the Discipleship class did not receive a pass. Only two out of 20+ students received a pass for Renewing Fatherhood. Their were a few no passes in Sheridan too. And the new DVD player I purchased in June for the Sheridan conference room still has not been put in place.
Please pray all the students will receive passes and for the DVD player to be put in place. I plan on offering to do it myself. It has a pause button that the current one doesn't and would be very useful in presenting the 'How to Study the Bible' DVD.

Richard - Please remember me in prayer, I am getting my mind right for my release I have five months and 17 days left on the sentence. At this time as you know I am doing my parole time, after it is all said and done I'll be free and clear no parole. Amen! my out-date is 2/18/16. I need all the prayer I can't get through the Lord will keep me strong and doing well in him. Thank you. In him.
Larry - I need God to give me peace with myself and lots. I asked for prayer for my family and my enemies. I really need to get into GED class. Need God's help with that. Thank you.
Sheridan Correctional Center - Afternoon Class
Leroy - I am asking for you to pray for me and my family especially my father Lee Roy Junior he recently was in some trouble and I hope that it can all get cleared up. Also my sister Deborah, she is not on drugs and she need some prayer for her and her daughter. For myself and my loved ones. I have some difficulties but I need some prayers for an answer. I don't want to stay here in Sheridan anymore but I'm not made up my mind on what to do. I believe I've had enough time in the program and I no longer have the urge to use and do crime. Thank you Thank you very much.
Clyde -This prayer request is for the health and well-being of my family Pearl, Clyde and Tanaejah, Empress, Cedric, and Deonta. Keep them safe, keep of heart mind focused and bind us to your holy glory. Protect us from the evil of this world and let the Prince of light protect us as a family unit as a whole. Dominic - I first think God for you for interceding and touching and agreeing with me, I first pray for peace in Jerusalem as well for peace in the US and for the foundation of the Word of God to be moving back into our country. I am on my way home September 3rd it's less than two weeks away. My daughter's mother and I are on a complete roller coaster, she doesn't trust me I don't trust her, she was in a relationship while I've been gone and just now finds it in her heart to tell me about the guy. So she's been holding this in for years now and tells me she wants to be with me but this guy is still sending her emails and that bothers me, I've even expressed how it makes me feel and it still hasn't happened. I tell her things to make me comfortable to even want to risk my life. She can't control herself, she yells, screens swears and mocks me when I try to spread the word and I'm being treated like I'm doing something wrong. I admit my past was rough but I've been born again. Please pray for me.
Julio - I would like to ask you to please pray for my sister Janet, that she stop using drugs and living a life of prostitution in the streets. She finds her way back to being clean and sober to live for God and to be filled with the blood of the Lamb. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to take care of her and to take her out of the streets and away from a path of destruction. I would like you to please pray for me and my family. For God to please watch over us and to forgive us of our sins and transgressions. And to bless us in everything that we do. Paco - Please pray that my son Daniel gets to my home in Hammond Indiana from Reidsville Georgia. He had to stop in Reidsville Georgia . He has asthma. Please he's my only son. He is miles away I received two letters from him telling me what has happened to him. I to am praying for him to make it home. He's Army material. Please, thank you, God bless.
Michael - Please pray for my dad Ken just had his knee replaced finally on Wednesday. He finally got over four months of complications from the first time they tried to do the replacement due to his diabetes. Please pray that he does not have complications again and that all goes well. Pray for some courageous Christians that work in several counties in Kentucky that refused to issue marriage licenses so as to avoid the federal ruling to legalize gay marriage. Thank you.

No name - Please pray for my cellie and my wife. My cellie, King is a nonbeliever. He doesn't believe in the resurrection of Christ and he says that he is God himself. Also pray for my marriage, my relationship with my wife is really bad. She doesn't want to talk to me and doesn't bring my kids to see me. She is not supporting me financially at all. Actually she wants me to her wine for the phone. I hardly survive with the state pay. I am thinking and filing for divorce from her. Please pray for me so I can make the right decision.

Lawrence - Please free for me as I am leaving Sheridan and going to "Jesus is the Way" transitional housing for nine months. It is a very structured strict form. Looking forward to it, but I'll have new things to get acquainted to. Pray that my transition is a smooth one. Pray for my brothers that I'm leaving behind here, made her stay be good until they reach their updates. Pray for them to find a great church to help them with their faith and fellowship.
